About Transfer
Join product and design leaders in developing the vision for the future of WeTransfer’s namesake—internally known as the Transfer product.

The Transfer product team is responsible for building on the success of our widely beloved file delivery service used by hundreds of millions of people each year. Our unique business combines a productivity tool with an award winning advertising platform showcasing highly designed promotional wallpapers developed in-house by a dedicated studio.

You’ll be joining the team at an exciting stage of new development as we build the next evolution of our service. The Transfer product is the highest impact product for our business.

You’ll have the opportunity to help shape our engineering and product strategy at a critical phase, laying down the foundation for our next chapter of growth. We’re looking for someone with a rare combination of skills, an appreciation for design, and a passion for building high quality products.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, which includes designers and both frontend and backend developers. Our teams are open, eager to try new things, fun and dynamic. The goal of our team is to collaborate with teams across the company to create the future of WeTransfer that stays true to our mantra "beautifully obvious"

What you'll be working on

    • Own key aspects of the product development lifecycle, such as research, ideation, design, and prototyping.
    • Understand the business requirements, user goals, and technical constraints that shape our product.
    • Collaborate with other designers to develop and expand our product design system.
    • Participate in design reviews and share your work regularly with the design team and the broader product team.

What we're looking for

    • You have 5+ years of relevant design experience at a product-driven tech company.
    • You have a portfolio that you can display with us showing strong product and interaction design sensibilities.
    • You can ideate and improve products and features keeping our users' and business's needs on top of mind.
    • You have an inquisitive attitude. You know how to approach complex problems, and should be comfortable with ambiguity and abstraction.
    • You're proficient across the product design discipline. That includes: creating concepts, customer journeys, user flows, prototyping ideas, interaction and visual design.
    • You're capable of introducing original ideas but you also know when to adopt off the shelf solution and industry standards
    • You enjoy bringing clarity and highlighting opportunities for the team and product, from defining product goals, visualising a potential future, to providing meaningful design feedback.
    • You're skilled in explaining your work, process, and decisions to stakeholders and look for feedback to help you produce your best work.
    • You can work easily autonomously. You are self-starting and proactive.
    • You are capable of driving a vision for your product area by identifying and visualizing strategic approaches.
WeTransfer is an equal opportunity employer and we pride ourselves on the diversity of our people. We welcome you, and everything that makes you—well, you. That includes your gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, age, or disability status.

A note on remote
Covid has changed the world. Just as much as it changed us. While we can't wait until offices re-open, being at the office will not be mandatory in the future. This way, you get the best from both worlds. That move is still pretty new for us though, we are getting there, we are writing more, doing more async communication, and are now ready to take it to the next level.

While it is not necessarily a determining or disqualifying factor for any role, you may be required to complete a standard employment background screening.
