Senior Financial Accountant / Controller

This is the role

We're looking for an experienced and assertive Senior Financial Accountant/Controller to join our accounting team in Copenhagen. The role will report to our Accounting Manager and work closely with our external accounting partner. From AP to tax, compliance, treasury, and consolidation, the role will have exposure across all aspects of Podimo's accounting operations.

Your main responsibilities in this role:

• Support all accounting and controlling issues at a global level, across 7+ entities and countries
• Help consolidate monthly financials and management reporting packages
• Support balance sheet account reconciliations
• Preserve general ledger structure, continuously optimizing accounting processes
• Assist on statutory audits and compliance and support the annual financial statement audit
• Aid process improvements or other projects

This is you

The ideal candidate is someone who combines financial prowess with data skills. You have no problem rolling up your sleeves and getting things done, nor are you afraid to lead conversations around complex topics. The below qualities will help you to succeed in this role:

Experience we’re looking for:

• 6+ years of financial accounting experience (CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent desired but not required)
• Experience in-house at a startup/high growth company and/or at a Big4 firm
• Clear and proactive communicator (Fluent in English, proficient in Danish)
• Experience in consolidations, including foreign entities
• Thorough understanding of Danish GAAP and preferably IFRS
• Experience with statutory audit requirements
• Advanced Excel skills

Naturally, being passionate and knowledgeable about podcasts, audio content, media, and entertainment is a big plus!
