Site Reliability Engineer, Cloud Platform

Team Description:

Our SRE team is responsible for building and running the SaaS platform offering Camunda’s products in the cloud. We are a fully remote team of Software Developers and DevOps Engineers mostly working from our homes - but working in one of our offices is okay too ;-).

We have close relationships with both product management as well with the engineering teams developing the products we offer in the cloud. You would be helping us by:

• Helping Camunda to build, run, and scale the platform of its SaaS offering.
• Contributing to and shaping our Site Reliability Engineering team with your experience and knowledge in DevOps or Software Engineering
• Working fully remote based anywhere from US-West to EMEA in the timezones GMT+2 to -5

*This is a remote role and can be based anywhere - ideally in EMEA.

What you'll work with:

• Our K8s infrastructure with all its related applications on GCP
• Our monitoring and alerting systems
• Our GitOps practices
• Our K8s Operator
• Support our developer teams to run and operate their software

What you'll bring along:

• You like the idea of working in a fully remote team
• You recognize the value of automation and reproducibility
• You are eager to solve challenging problems using new technologies
• You learn, experiment and like to build things for production
• You have experience with SaaS products or large websites
• You have a DevOps or Software Engineering background
• You have knowledge in one of the following areas:
• Cloud offerings, e.g. GCP or AWS
• Infrastructure as Code, e.g. Terraform, Ansible
• Monitoring and alerting, e.g. Prometheus, Grafana
• CI/CD tooling, e.g. Github Actions and GitOps
• Kubernetes
• Coding experience in a scripting or a compiled language, e.g. go, python, bash, java
