The Opportunity

 

In your role as Senior Product Manager you will help us achieve our goals and deliver success on behalf of our customers by:

  • Building products and solutions that reduce financial losses and provide operational efficiency gains that lead to an optimum customer experience
  • Conducting market research to generate product requirements
  • Documenting precise specifications
  • Developing and working within production timetables
  • Working with the commercial team on pricing recommendations
  • Creating and owning plans for product introduction
 

Day to Day

  • Working directly with prospects and customers to determine market needs and requirements
  • Partnering with clients throughout the financial crime prevention journey to develop product/solution strategies as assigned
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to review assigned product strategy and ensure alignment
  • Representing the voice of the customer to internal stakeholders by writing clear, thorough, and detailed user stories for complex features and product sets
  • Ensuring product requirements are designed with scalability and long-term vision in mind
  • Leading business and technical discussions with a high level of independence including requirements, customer experience and security
  • Providing metric-based feedback and recommendations and presenting findings to key stakeholders and management as requested
  • Providing information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports
  • Assessing market competition by comparing to assigned product/solutions
  • Obtaining product market share by working with sales to develop product sales strategies
  • Owning functional and non-functional requirements for assigned products and solutions
  • Writing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes
  • Providing guidance and recommendations on the design of new features and integrations
  • Facilitating product design workshops and meetings and taking responsibility for documenting all inputs and outputs
  • Performing go-to-market activities by closely working with other product managers, and the marketing, finance, commercial and legal teams
  • Liaising with other business units to ensure open communication and flawless execution
  • Potentially taking line management responsibilities for product, junior product and associate product managers as required, including setting objectives and carrying out performance reviews for staff as required

    • Strong business and technical skills with a sound understanding of payment and risk management systems
    • Excellent communication skills and presence
    • Knowledge of global markets, competitive landscape and related dynamics
    • Ability to think creatively to solve problems with the customer as the central focus
    • Aptitude and comfort to collaborate with engineering teams to build robust, reliable and scalable financial crime solutions
    • Embrace change and ambiguity in an ecosystem that rapidly evolves
    • An understanding of software development concepts and techniques
    • Highly organised and detail oriented with good writing, verbal, communication skills, people skills and concern for high standards
    • Ability to take on a varied and busy workload with a proven track record for delivery
    • Ambitious and smart; willing to learn and get up to speed quickly
    • Excellent working knowledge of Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & prototyping tools
    • Willingness to travel

    Desirable experience:

    • Knowledge and/or interest in FinTech
    • Previous Product management experience
    • Previous Experience Fraud and Financial Crime related products
