The Role

Due to exceptional business growth over the last 18 months, we are recruiting a Project Manager to join our IT department. The Project Manager will have end to end IT project ownership and will be responsible for ensuring quality standards are achieved in any project taken

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for leading all ME+EM IT projects
  • Responsible for creating and distributing minutes from project meetings held
  • Responsible for creating test plans for IT project testing
  • Accountable for project budgets
  • Accountable for projects delivering on time
  • Maintain action logs for IT projects
  • Maintain issue logs for IT projects
  • Meet deadlines and work within predefined criteria
  • Liaise with external suppliers involved within projects
  • Ensure clear communication is maintained throughout project lifecycle

 

Projects and Deployments 

 

  • Support Business Analysis team in defining and documenting test requirements
  • Assist project teams in completion of testing and deployments, including execution of test scripts

 

Relationships

 

  • Principle working relationship will be with Head of IT 
  • Work with the key business users on business related projects
  • Maintain external supplier relationships as required

 

Competencies

  • Exposure / experience of projects
  • Understanding of retail business (across all channels) desirable
  • Lateral thinker and organised approach
  • Ability to liaise with business and technical staff
  • Commercial awareness
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Key working relationships will be with IT team and external IT suppliers

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role 
  • IT proficient - MS Office (including Project)
  • Proven management ability
  • Excellent diplomacy and interpersonal skills
  • Architecture or Design degree is an advantage
  • Project Management qualification is an advantage
  • Membership of the CIOB and/or APM is an advantage
