About the Role
We are seeking a curious, creative and driven individual for the role of Revenue Operations Specialist reporting directly in to the VP of Strategy & Operations to take ownership of our Salesforce instance, the core of our commercial operating system. Together, we are responsible for overall revenue process across sales, marketing and customer success and of making sense of a growing volume of data from a multitude of sources.

Our team is responsible for building and maintaining our commercial operating system, at the centre of how and where we do business. You will have insight into every aspect of the business with opportunities to grow with or faster than the business itself across many avenues of revenue ops.


Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the core of our commercial operating system: Salesforce

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Finance to identify and fix process gaps by deploying new processes

  • Find problems before they find us: Identify hypotheses, design process improvements and then translate results into production to help optimise every step of our revenue cycle

  • Support and coach our growing base of Salesforce users to make ops our competitive advantage

 

 


About you

  • You have proven experience with the core Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud) and you understand the importance of CRM as the core of any business's commercial operations and are willing to get to grips with it

  • You have complex Flows built using the latest Flow versions and you are up to date on changing best practices

  • You are intuitive with configuring Profiles, Reports, Custom Objects and formula fields

  • You have the Salesforce Administrator certification

  • You have operational experience in a B2B SaaS startup; or an appreciation for the mechanics of SaaS and an interest in the nitty-gritty of building world-class software business from the ground up

  • You are commercially minded and curious about the world of business beyond your Economist subscription – you know your TopCo from your OpCo and your equity value from your enterprise value

  • You love getting things right the first time: This means you are attentive to detail and are able to step back and review your own work for inconsistency – you find that there is nothing more uncomfortable than someone else spotting a mistake in your work

  • You communicate well because you understand the power of the written word and well-constructed sentences in making the case to drive the outcomes you believe in – you enjoy reading and probably use proper punctuation even in your text messages

  • You enjoy figuring things out for yourself, and you have confidence in your ability to do so even in areas where you don't have direct experience – you know that every problem can be broken down into finite pieces that, in turn, are solvable

  • Familiarity core Salesforce CPQ tenants

  • Salesforce App Builder certification

  • Ability to read, extend and maintain Apex Classes and Triggers

  • Experience with Marketo and cross-over with Marketing

  • Experience with external no-code programming tools like Integromat/Make
