As the manager of the Cloud Operations and Governance team, you will be responsible for all Domino's cloud practices and governance. Defining the tools, processes, technology and policies that enable Domino to securely and efficiently operate production and development environments across all major public Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will be responsible for defining our Cloud SLOs/SLAs across the different categories and your team will implement the automation to enable governance and visibility. We aim to remove human intervention as much as possible from all our cloud processes and enable self served solutions.

  • Right reasons: scope, influence, desire to bigger and better things, desire to coach, mentor, build high performing teams
  • Technical background (ideally in team’s functional area)
    • Infra / platform
    • Managed ideally entire platform
      • NOT data platform
  • Obsessive about Hiring and building a team
  • Bonus Points : Experience in Hybrid/SaaS would be a plus

Role Responsibilities

What are the top 3-4 responsibilities of this role?

  • Defining how we will work on a roadmap  
  • Implementing cloud governance tools and policies
  • Asses the current status of all 3 of the clouds that we work with and drive improvements

In those areas

  • Hire and structure our Cloud team as we scale
  • Look at how we operate customer accounts, define SLAs and security fixes for STS instances
  • Define SLA/SLOs for our cloud services and implement the automation to keep those SLOs achieved through removing human intervention as much as possible. 

What is the % of management responsibilities vs hands-on work?

  • 80% managerial, 20% technical (mainly design/architecture reviews)
