Job Description

We are looking for a talented Procurement Manager to join our team.

The Procurement Manager job is a new position and an opportunity to play a significant role in building out the Procurement function within Nexthink. This position will report to the CFO directly. This is a greenfield opportunity to help build, support, and influence the direction of a new Procurement department.

The Procurement Manager is responsible for strategic sourcing and procurement activities for all indirect spending on our corporate operations, including HR, Professional Services, Brand/Marketing, Facilities, Utilities, Software, and Hardware Technology. This role requires initiative and independent judgment while working effectively with multiple stakeholders across several corporate functions and field service locations.

The Procurement Manager Will Be Expected To Develop a Holistic Category Management Approach For All Indirect Corporate Categories That Will Include The Following Elements:

  • Collaborate on building a spend taxonomy and perform spend analytics to identify critical vendors and potential sourcing opportunities in crucial spend categories
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships across all categories and develop a strategic sourcing calendar of initiatives that supports the department's needs
  • Develop a holistic category approach and long-term plan that aligns procurement support with business unit needs to drive sustainable savings.
  • Conduct product/vendor/industry research to support initiatives
  • Develop RFIs and RFPs that aid in price discovery and vendor selection
  • Negotiate all terms and conditions of supply and collaborate with Legal on drafting vendor agreements with input from stakeholders
  • Facilitate implementation of new supply agreements and onboarding of new suppliers
  • Provide ongoing Supplier Relationship Management
  • Develop processes in the NetSuite ERP system to support a Procure-to-Pay process

Essential Functions:

  • Develop a Procurement policy
  • Solicit and qualify potential new vendors for assigned categories
  • Negotiate terms for pricing agreements
  • Develop sourcing strategies and executing on supplier selection / RFx processes
  • Establish and monitor relevant Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics for supplier reporting
  • Perform quarterly business reviews with CFO and business leaders to review performance
  • Promptly respond to stakeholder issues with vendors/product/services
  • Conduct spend analytics using ERP systems and vendor usage reports
  • Collaborate with the Legal team to draft and execute agreements
  • Ensure field and vendor compliance with assigned category agreements
  • Reporting to Management:
  • Cost savings, cost avoidance, and performance improvements
  • Current sourcing initiative schedules
  • Opportunities for increasing supplier diversity, rationalizing suppliers
  • Vendor usage and trend analysis

Qualifications

  • A self-starter with initiative and the ability to make things happen
  • CPM or CPSM a plus
  • Hybrid work policy: 2 days a week in Boston office
  • Minimum 10 years of Strategic Sourcing and/or Buying experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the capability to use Excel to analyze large data sets
  • SaaS or Software experience preferred
  • Experience with an ERP system and eProcurement suite such as Netsuite
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Negotiating skills
  • Demonstrated ability to accomplish KPI goals and facilitate continuous improvement
  • Strong time-management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel as required to Europe, minimum twice a year
  • Experience in working in an International and multicultural environment
  • Share your knowledge effectively internally by providing training and development to your team and relevant colleagues.
