We currently have exciting opportunities for experienced performance test engineers to join our growing team at our offices in Cebu City, Philippines.
Description
A performance test engineer’s primary responsibility is the creation and maintenance of performance test plans, using JMeter load testing software to inject load, analysing metrics from the application and system logs and simulating system behaviour to improve the performance and reliability of the application.
The candidate should also have enthusiasm for troubleshooting, analysing and resolving problems.
The candidate must demonstrate strong problem solving and communication skills.
Key responsibilities
Work with development teams to understand the underlying solution technology and technology requirements
Design, implementation and execution of performance test plans for AMCS customer solutions
Develop data / traffic models to use for performance testing that reflects customer usage.
Work closely with Development teams, Architects and Product Owners to performance test their product deliveries and make recommendations to improve performance, reliability and stability
Identify and investigate potential performance issues and work with the development teams on solution implementation
Identify and report on performance KPI and metrics to internal stakeholders and AMCS customers
Reporting progress of testing activities to the Head of QA.
Key Skills/Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
5+ years’ experience in an Information Technology environment specializing in Software QA.
Experience in performance testing using JMeter is essential
Expose, secure and manage backend applications, network systems or infrastructure via APIs
Solid Experience in API testing
Must be good at performance tuning
Experience on Performance monitoring tools
Must work on Finetuning/Load balancing/Config. Setup
Experience in preparing the scenarios for the scripts developed
Good communication skills.
