Hello, we’re looking for a recruiter to join our growing people team at Farewill

We have big plans over the next few years and to help us achieve our ambitions we’re looking for a recruiter (known to us as a talent partner) to join the team and help us bring great people into the business.

In the next 12 months:

There’s lots to do. And lots of people to hire.

On the one hand you’ll be working with managers to figure out what they need, to build comprehensive hiring plans, and then deliver against these plans - on time and to a high standard. And then on the other, you’ll be helping us build for the future, getting our systems and processes in order, helping us develop our EVP and building a TA function that’s progressive and innovative.

Requirements

Hopefully, you’ll have some or all of the following:

You’re a recruiter. It sounds obvious, but, there’s a lot to do from day 1 so you will need to know how to manage the full 360 recruitment process, and, because we’re really building out our tech team here, it would be great if you’d worked in a technical function as well.

A direct sourcing expert – Like most, we want to find the best people in the market for our jobs and that means being pretty thorough in how we search; adverts are great (and you’ll need to be great at writing really engaging copy) but you’ll also know how to find the below the radar candidates and to build comprehensive hiring plans designed to leave no stone unturned.

Tech and social savvy - we think engagement is key when it comes to attracting great people, so you’ll know your way around social platforms and be able to create compelling content to attract people to, and engage with our brand. You’ll also have a keen interest in evolving recruitment technology with a willingness to embrace new ways of doing things.

An interviewer – You’ll have a good degree of expertise in the artistry of interviewing, you’ll know how to interview against behaviours vs experience, and you’ll be confident in making recommendations and giving feedback.

A people person – we want everyone involved in the recruitment process at Farewill to have a positive experience, so we need you to be someone who genuinely cares about candidates being treated well, and who cares about providing amazing customer service to the business. You’ll have a commitment to helping us build a fair, inclusive and diverse team.

Benefits

What we offer in return:

This is an amazing opportunity for someone to get involved early doors in a fast-growing purpose-driven business, and to play a big part in helping us create a world class TA function. Plus, you’ll get to work on some really interesting and creative projects along the way

And as well as that you’ll get:

  • Competitive salary and generous stock options
  • 28 days of annual leave plus the usual public holidays
  • Flexible working including when you start & end your day, and how often you come into the office*
  • Personal development budget of 3 days and £1000 per year
  • Regular ‘passion talks’ and a range of team socials
  • Santander cycles membership!
  • A chance to make a meaningful contribution to people's lives and deaths
  • And much more!

If this sounds like what you’d love to be doing, we can’t wait to hear from you. If you’re not sure that you exactly fit the above criteria, get in touch anyway. Ability and attitude is just as important as experience! But apply soon as application close on 16th May

*Currently our lovely office in Haggerston is available if people want — and only if they want. Our current plan is to move to a mix of office-based and remote working.

At Farewill, our mission is to change the way the world deals with death - to make it simple, personal, fairly-priced & accessible to everyone.

To do that, we want to build a workplace that’s great for everyone, that celebrates diversity in all its forms, and where everyone who works for us feels like they can be themselves, bring their whole selves to work, and be treated fairly, equitably and respectfully.

We believe flexibility is important, so we’re happy to chat to you about flexible/remote working options. And, If you need any flexibility or adjustments in our interview process - to help set you up for success - then please let us know too.
