We are looking for a talented and motivated Software Engineer who is driven by the idea of facilitating technical decisions and who wants to have a great impact on health & fitness in our society. Help trainers succeed in their interactions with customers and support them in achieving great training results as part of developing the EGYM Trainer App. Apply now and join our Berlin team consisting of 5 Software Engineers!

  • You develop high-quality software (including features, performance, testing, documentation, etc.)
  • You work as part of a team to implement new software projects in microservices to provide APIs for mobile clients
  • You help us developing our DevOps Culture
  • You learn and evaluate new technologies and skills and share this knowledge with other developers in the company
Your fitness level
  • You bring at least 3 years of experience in backend software development
  • You are a passionate backend developer who can write clean and effective code in Java or Go. We work with both languages in the team and you should be open to writing code in these languages
  • You will work with many tools and technologies, although we do not require you to be familiar with all of them: Java, Spring, Go, Event-Driven Architecture (e.g. Google PubSub), Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, gRPC, GCP, etc.
  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and constantly revising assumptions in response to new information
Your training goal for your first 6 months
  • You take ownership of the work you do, you are able to understand its architecture and deliver on product requirements and features as well as improving testability and functionality 
  • You are familiar with the EGYM ecosystem and the role of the different teams in the software engineering department
  • You blend with the team and the company culture
