Job Description

The Nexthink Legal team continues to expand with the growth of the organization. We are excited to create a new Paralegal role joining our US Legal team.  Bring your knowledge and expertise to partner with a truly collaborative and supportive team.

What will you do day to day here at Nexthink?

  • Evaluate and implement new technology solutions and manage relationships with outside service providers
  • Help build and maintain our commercial contracting tools and processes, including maintaining our contracts management system, facilitating efficient workflows and controls, and assisting in the contract life from initial request to signature;
  • Support management of outside counsel by assisting with engagement agreements, analyzing outside counsel billing practices against in-house requirements, and maintaining outside counsel billing policies;
  • Develop and maintain department knowledge management initiatives, including creating playbooks for routine legal workflows and maintaining the team’s central files, templates, forms, resources and intranet tools;
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of company-wide resources such as training materials and policy documents;
  • Build and run periodic reports relating to department projects and deliverables;
  • Draft routine contracts using approved templates, including non-disclosure agreements, and routine correspondence;
  • Assist with the organization and management of our intellectual property portfolio;
  • Provide assistance with corporate recordkeeping and compliance, and assistance with major transactions;
  • Maintain legal calendar to track important dates, such as discovery response deadlines and contract action dates;
  • Provide general assistance and liaise with other business units to address departmental needs in a timely manner.

What you bring to the table?

  • Minimum 2-5 years legal operations or paralegal experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department (start-up experience preferred but not required);
  • Highly organized multi-tasker with a strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial approach to solving problems and developing creative processes;
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a growing legal team and cross-functionally with members at all levels of the organization;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented attitude, and superior attention to detail;
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks effectively and independently; and
  • Some key traits that will make you successful in this role and team are- logic, ingenuity, good judgement, persistence
  • Excellent communication skills
