The Opportunity

As our Head of Media Relations and Communications your mission is to help build and protect Featurespace’s international reputation as a leader in machine learning technology, and further ARIC™Risk Hub positioning as the most valued anti-fraud and financial crime solution globally.

Based in either our Cambridge or London office, you will be joining our international Communications and Marketing team at an exciting moment of high growth for the company as we continue to expand into new markets, supporting an increasing list of financial institutions in the fight against fraud and financial crime.

This is a hybrid role based out of either our Cambridge or London office 2 – 3 days a week.

Day to Day

Reporting to the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer, you’ll lead on advancing Featurespace’s media relations and communications strategy across all markets through establishing and implementing high impact strategic communications plans, and building and fostering trusted relationships with key people across traditional and online media channels. We will expect you to be a creative thinker, able to find smart ways to project our stories around, for example: technology, innovation, customer success and industry leadership.

You will be responsible for developing media relationships that drive senior executive engagement and interviews, to improve media understanding and appreciation of the value that Featurespace’s award winning machine learning technology brings to the market, and to identify opportunities to drive authentic coverage for Featurespace.

As the in-house expert, you’ll be relied upon to provide strategic advice and counsel to the team and senior leaders on media strategy, issues and reputational questions in the sector. Writing and developing creative and engaging messaging for press releases, talking points, social media, media statements, op-eds will be central to the role; as will leading with reputational awards, measuring share of voice and sentiment. Here you’ll be expected to ensure alignment of messages across the business, training and empowering colleagues to advocate on our behalf.

To do this, we need you to be an experienced media handler with relationships amongst leading UK, US, European and international media, and have expertise in handling agencies. You’ll be a ‘disciplined creative’ who speaks up, challenges ideas and enjoys working collaboratively with other teams.

As a company we hire people with a willingness to adapt to a variable role, so along with these key responsibilities, we ask for you to take ownership of other relevant opportunities and tasks as they arise.
