Jellysmack is looking for a UX Researcher to work with the Product and Design team to help uncover behaviors, preferences and insights for users of new blockchain technology products.

Reporting to the Head of Design, Crypto, you will design and implement research initiatives that incorporate first-hand customer insights to inform product direction and design to strategically grow the business. You will be the first UX Research team member and help shape how we conduct and utilize research across the organization.

Requirements

- Collaborate with product managers and designers to determine their needs, make appropriate recommendations and craft research plans that align with brand and product strategy
- Manage user experience research and usability testing projects for consumer-facing products during all phases of design and development
- Apply quantitative and qualitative research methodologies—favoring an agile approach— to help inform UX and design direction and solve issues
- Validate user needs, requirements and behaviors from a qualitative perspective
- Manage all qualitative preparations including the recruiting and screening of participants and scheduling of sessions
- Conduct user interviews; review, interpret and synthesize open-ended feedback
- Analyze and synthesize learning and develop actionable recommendations
- Create clear and impactful deliverables using a variety of appropriate formats; share learning with stakeholders

- Ability to draw from data analytics to uncover behavioral insights and inform design decisions
- Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources to form actionable insights
- Skilled at telling a clear and compelling story from research findings and other data
- Capable of handling and prioritizing multiple projects including flexibility on assignments and deadlines
- Must be proactive, collaborative, inquisitive, detail-oriented, and highly organized
- Adaptability in a fast-paced rapidly changing media and technology environment
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

- 3+ years relevant experience with UX and digital usability/design testing
- Experience working closely with design and product teams
- Experience moderating user interviews
- Ability to write surveys and discussion guides in order to elicit insights to improve customer experience
- Working knowledge of user research, product design and development, and best practices
- Familiarity with Usertesting.com, Lookback, Hotjar, and/ or similar UX research platforms
- Experience with Google Analytics or other data analytics tools a plus
