Junior Windows Systems Administrator
We are looking for a diligent and adaptable Junior Windows Systems Administrator to join our Infrastructure team. The team has primary responsibility for all user equipment, networking, internal servers and management of both private and public cloud systems. It is a highly varied role with many challenges and scope to develop new skills with systems management technologies.
This role reports to the Infrastructure team lead, with scope to learn and develop your skills from our senior Systems Administrators. Success requires good interpersonal skills and the ability to work, both as part of the team on larger projects as well as working independently, to deliver personal projects within the overall team strategy.
Day to Day
Your day to day role would involve a mixture of project and operational work. You would be working with the Infrastructure team on management of our on-prem and cloud infrastructure, as well as with our Service Desk team on dealing with user support tickets.
You would work closely with our senior Windows Systems Administrator on maintenance, troubleshooting, support of existing infrastructure, as well as the build out of new infrastructure to support the businesses’ growing needs.
Through your work with our user support tickets, you would be interacting with teams and individuals across the business to assist them with issues they face and solve problems they are experiencing.

Must haves
- Experience and knowledge of maintaining a Windows Sever 2012 R2 – 2019 Active Directory environment including GPO, DNS, DHCP, DFS, PKI, ADFS
- Have a good appreciation of IT delivery challenges, as you will be expected to provide technical assistance to multi-disciplined engineering teams
- Document Standard Operating Procedures for troubleshooting and service builds
- Able to Troubleshoot issues related to Active Directory topology and related features in a multi -site environment
- Experience with the following:
- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Microsoft Azure Administration
- Exchange online
- SaaS
- Apply and maintain OS and Software patches and upgrades on a regular basis
- Good knowledge of Virtualisation technologies
- Experience with backup systems, such as Veeam, Altaro, and Microsoft Azure offerings
Great to haves
- Experience in migrating services to cloud infrastructure
