Job Description

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to utilize your deep, technical hands-on expertise to help shape a critical product, define its scope and guide its execution.

Your main duties will be:

  • Work in close collaboration with the Principal Product Manager by helping to shape the Desktop Virtualization roadmap and features.
  • Be the technical expert for Desktop Virtualization, and assist product, engineering, and support teams with your hands-on knowledge and experience.
  • Analyze virtualization platforms, market trends, customer requirements. Distill your analysis into a set of very clear requirements that engineering can execute upon.  Contribute to the setup of labs with virtualization vendors’ solutions, for functional and technical analysis.
  • Assist with certifying our solution against Desktop Virtualization platforms.
  • Help our customers and partners understand the value of our solution by assisting other teams in articulating our value proposition and differentiation.
  • Define impressive demo scenarios that highlight our features and outcomes for internal enablement and customers.
  • Be a team player and collaborator. Assist internal R&D and outbound marketing, presales, and sales teams with functional and technical insights, answer questions for RFPs, and help with proofs-of-concept.

Qualifications

  • Solid technical background in Desktop Virtualization (on either Citrix, VMware, or Microsoft WVD) with hands-on expertise in planning, deployment, and ongoing operational tasks to be able to dive into complex virtualization technologies.
  • VDI architect background in VMware, Citrix, or Microsoft WVD (highly valued). Experience with cloud-delivered desktops and apps (highly desired)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain (oral and written) complex technical concepts to various audiences with different degrees of technical background.
  • Comfortable in the weeds of technology but also must be able to see the big picture for framing product strategy and goals.
  • Great ability to balance different workstreams while doing an effective job. Calm under pressure.
  • Willingness to learn new processes in product definition, feature prioritization, and Agile management.
  • A team-player who is genuinely interested in working collaboratively across the organization.
  • Quality-oriented mindset.
  • Proven ability to drive complex projects with minimal oversight, delivering results incrementally and pragmatically.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Previous exposure to building products (highly valued).
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (highly valued).
