This newly created role will manage accounts receivable for Huel’s growing wholesale business as we expand into multiple retailers across the UK, Europe and the USA. The Accounts Receivable Assistant will take primary responsibility for prompt and efficient invoicing to customers and collection of outstanding debts, and will work closely with the retail sales teams based in the UK and US, as well as being an important part of the Finance team. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Invoicing - ensure timely and accurate invoicing to customers, including compliance with any local requirements, e.g., sales tax, and dealing with any invoicing queries 
  • Cash collection - ensure prompt collection of debts to agreed payment terms, and resolve outstanding issues with customers to help speed up payment
  • EDI set-up for new customers - work with new customers, our third-party EDI platform provider and our internal IT team to ensure timely and efficient integration to customer EDI platforms when required 
  • EDI database management - ownership of the EDI catalogues, ensuring that product details are kept up to date and working with our third-party EDI provider and our IT team to resolve any issues with integrations
  • Month-end close - take ownership of the retail sales and accounts receivable month-end processes, including reconciliation of the AR accounts. Support the rest of the Finance team on other month-end processes
  • Finance team cover -  work in partnership with Accounts Payable to understand their processes and be able to provide cover and support when required

What we're looking for:

  • Experience of working within an Accounts Receivable / Sales Ledger function 
  • Communication and influencing skills, and ability to work with a range of stakeholders including internal teams and, most importantly, external customers 
  • Strong attention to detail and proven ability to deliver to deadlines
  • Experience of working with EDI platforms is essential
