The Role

We are in search of an HR Business Partner to help take our People team to the next level. We’re not your typical “HR” team, and the HR Business Partner will be key in making that felt throughout Jellysmack. When done right, traditional “employee relations” will be just a small piece of your role.Your position will be strategic, rather than reactive. You’ll have the ability to connect with team members across the organization to have an impact on career growth, performance, diversity and inclusion, engagement and happiness. What You’ll Do

Provide Strategic Partnership to Hiring Managers:

  • Work with leadership to ensure the organization is aligned to the company strategy, culture and values
  • Partner with leaders to align current and future business needs into an overall integrated People plan for the function, focusing on opportunities that contribute to the growth and competitiveness of the business
  • Partner in implementing organizational talent planning and talent acquisition strategies
  • Partner with leaders to ensure Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, and Belonging isn’t an “HR topic” - everyone plays a part

Ensure the proper roll out of HR processes (systems, performance reviews, engagement, etc.):

  • Support performance management of staff and manage employee relations, when necessary
  • Ensure that every team member is clear on their objectives and that excellent performance is appropriately rewarded
  • Structure the performance review process and training managers to be able to give feedback on their own
  • Participate in company-wide performance campaigns

Support Jellysmack in improving organization whenever necessary:

  • Integrate and partner with Global HR colleagues in the Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation, Legal, and People Programs teams to implement solutions and help scale the business
  • Proactively assess team, manager, organizational development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions
  • Continuously challenge job descriptions and comp&ben mechanisms to ensure adequacy between organizational efforts and strategic importance of each population (in collaboration with Comp and Ben expert team)
  • Gather key Learning & Development needs and collaborating with the L&D team to ensure that needs are met

Maintaining and analyzing KPIs:

  • Measure the quarterly engagement level leveraging survey – and analyzing it to suss out insights and recommendations
  • Analyze results and suggesting improvements

Launching initiatives to maintain high engagement (in collaboration with Culture and

Happiness teams):

  • E.g., lead co-development sessions with managers, team building activities, goodies to develop pod community feeling, etc
  • Ability to manage HR projects and guide the HR team
