We are seeking a conceptual creative director to help lead and build a team responsible for developing global multi-platform marketing campaigns for the WeTransfer product suite, Brand articulation, and more. You will be responsible with conceptualizing and helping create the promotional campaigns across media and platforms. You will be required to maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners, as well as ensuring that work delivers against the WeTransfer standards.
You know how to tell stories, on any platform, that drives engagement. You have a pulse on creative trends in digital marketing and culture and a creative sensibility that extends across content genres. You excel at building strong cross-functional relationships in a fast paced organization.
You should come from a background of writing and strategy and understand not just the craft of language but how it can play a pivotal role in the development of a brand. Through your experience you understand how to leverage the skill of storytelling and strategic thinking to maximize impact within groups. You are multidimensional and are looking for a place to further develop not only yourself, but build within.
Your role of Creative Director will focus on servicing the needs of the business from a brand and product communication standpoint. You will be tasked with both developing and managing a team and helping direct and guide creative solutions on briefs from a variety of internal stakeholders. You should be driven by best in class creative work and also experienced in leading and building small teams.
You will work closely with the ECD and Director of Creative Studio in understanding incoming briefs that tackle large initiatives in the organization. You will be partnering closely with creative leadership from the company, which includes Marketing, PR, Corporate Responsibility (Maintaining our B Corp Status) to frame, evolve, and grow our brand language. You will be tasked with helping raise the level of (creative) thinking and execution of the more junior creatives on the team through Creative Direction and mentorship, with the goal to achieve creative excellence and meet business objectives. You will also need to feel comfortable with career management and goal setting for a team of direct reports, helping refine Copywriting craft.
What that looks like on a day-to-day
You will be looked at as a key player in “leading by doing.” There is a high volume of briefs and opportunities that come into the Studio on a weekly and monthly basis, we are looking for someone to be a driving force of this creative work and campaign pipeline.
We will look to you to span across a broad spectrum of work that varies between social ideation and execution, annual brand and product campaigns, bespoke initiatives like the Ideas Report, to helping define what personas look like for the audience we are targeting. We will look to you as a generalist of sorts.
