Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer 2
Established in 2014 as a tech business, we are now expanding and are in the process of launching a number of at-home fitness products that Zwift will manufacture and deliver directly to customers all over the world. This is a big and exciting change for us, and because of this, we are looking to build a global Supply Chain team.
We are looking for an innovative and process-driven Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious growth goals. We are scaling fast, and our number of suppliers is rapidly expanding, and will continue long into the future. We are quality driven and want to delight our customers, so the quality of what we buy and what we produce is paramount to our success, making this role very important to our operations!
What you'll do:
- The overall aim of this role is to make sure our suppliers’ partner with us to make our product the best quality it can be. This role is critical to our success!
- Establish our supplier quality framework, ensuring both our external and internal partners are aware of this, and processes are being followed fully.
- Lead on supplier audit, ensuring our suppliers are partnering with us to meet global quality standards without compromise.
- Leading supplier pre-qualification evaluation and assessment.
- Design, develop and implement our supplier scorecard processes.
- Set the standards for supplier qualification documentation and ensure that is always followed.
- Work cross functionally with procurement and manufacturing to understand quality issues and creating solutions to mitigate these in the future.
- Stay in touch with the external market, ensuring Zwift’s quality standards are outstanding and staying abreast of any developments that might benefit us.
- Keeping up to date on global quality standards and any changes in those, ensuring any changes are managed within our supply chain.
- Ensure our suppliers meet quality regulations for supply to all global destinations.
- Support in the sourcing and onboarding of new suppliers alongside our sourcing team.
What we're looking for:
- A degree in a supply chain, mathematical, business, engineering or other relevant subject.
- 5+ years’ experience in a supplier quality engineering role.
- Experience with consumer electronics, electrical or mechanical products and parts.
- Experience setting up processes for supplier audit and taking the lead on those.
- Able to demonstrate examples of driving improvements within a supplier base for quality purposes.
- Experience within a manufacturing Supply Chain organization.
- Experience working within global teams.
- High degree of business, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- An excellent communicator to all business levels including fluent English language skills both written and verbal.
Bonus points:
- Experience working with North American businesses.
- Experience in fit-tech related products.
