Fergal Mullen is a Partner of Highland Europe.
Until the formation of Highland Europe, Fergal was a General Partner with Highland Capital Partners. He launched the firm's Europe investment program and currently works with AMCS, GetYourGuide, Nexthink and Bitmovin. He is a former director of GlassesDirect (acquired by Essilor), PhotoBox (acquired by Exponent & Electra), Privalia (acquired by VentePrivée), Coremetrics (acquired by IBM), Eleven Technology (acquired by Trimble), M7 (acquired by BEA), VistaPrint (IPO: NASDAQ) and Finanzcheck (acquired by Scout24).
Before joining Highland, Fergal was a founding partner of RSA Ventures, the corporate venture fund of RSA Security, Inc.
Before RSA Ventures, he was a founder and Senior Vice President of Cambridge Technology Partners (NASDAQ: CATP) and a member of the Global Executive Committee of the firm.
Fergal attended Harvard Business School, where he earned his M.B.A. He also holds a B.S., Electrical Engineering, and a B.A., Business Economics from Brown University.
His interests include long-distance running, biking, backcountry skiing, golf, and traditional Irish violin. A native of Dublin, Ireland, Fergal now lives in Geneva with his wife Jane and four children.
