Mobile App Marketing Platform Jampp raises $7M Series A to accelerate growth

Posted: 22 February, 2015

Jampp, a fast growing mobile app user acquisition and re-engagement platform has completed a $7 million Series A round of funding led by Highland Europe. Other investors in the round included Endeavor Catalyst, Innova and NXTP Labs.

Jampp’s platform helps mobile app advertisers to acquire and re-engage their users globally. Its service enables brands to go beyond simple installs and re-targeting clicks, as it optimizes for in-app activity and conversions, thus maximizing LTV.

The announcement comes during a period of rapid growth for Jampp. The company, which was started in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and London (UK) in early 2013, bootstrapped its way to become one of the leading app marketing platforms and a strategic partner to more than 50 large global mobile advertisers.

In 2014 alone, the company multiplied its revenues by 5, grew the team from 8 to 40 people and opened offices in San Francisco, São Paulo and Cape Town.

“Jampp provides a unique combination of scale and ROI, as our platform learns which signals produce high converting users for each app, dynamically bids on inventory, and automatically allocates budget.” said Diego Meller, co-founder. “This means we don’t just deliver app installs to our clients, but actual in-app purchases, food delivery orders, taxi bookings, new listings or whatever our advertisers are looking to optimize. App Marketing is no longer about getting installs (over 80% of users stop using the app after 6 months) but about driving engagement and conversions.”

Jampp is able to achieve this by buying mobile media inventory via its Conversion Driven Real Time Bidding engine, which dynamically bids on inventory across 18 RTB exchanges and over 150 mobile ad networks.

Jampp offers advertisers the capability to do retargeting, bringing users back to the app and driving engagement. This way Jampp completes the full cycle of app marketing, by first bringing users to the app and then re-engaging them.

The company, which has been profitable since 2013, will use the funds to expand operations in key markets and continue to invest in R&D. The investment will also accelerate Jampp’s product roadmap.

Irena Goldenberg, a partner at Highland Europe, said “The team has bootstrapped an amazing technology company, built around a service that mobile app advertisers around the world love to use. We look forward to working with the team to continue making Jampp an essential tool for any company doing business on mobile.”
